The Apostle Paul is frustrated with his friends in Galatia because they are being convinced by a group of people that they must first become Jewish before they can truly follow Jesus. Paul continues his argument in chapter 3 of this letter by recounting the story of Abraham and Sarah. They were justified simply by trusting God's promise, long before circumcision or the Law of Moses was ever part of the equation.
